“ I stumbled upon this Ramen bar in Park Slope not expecting much . To my surprise the Tonkotsu Ramen was super rich and delicious. The only gripe I have is that I wish the broth would be a lot hotter ( temp wise) and it would have been perfect . There is much to be appreciated about a spot that has no grill service and simplicity. Since I work in the neighborhood, I shall come here more often ”
“ Amazing, reliable ramen I come back to over and over again. Ambiance is calming, service is great as well, even during busy hours. 1000/10. ”
“ Finally decided to check this place out after craving some ramen from back home. I've been to multiple locations in Vancouver before but this was my first time in NY. They have a virtual queue system where you sign up at the door and will receive a text when your table is near ready. I came here with a group of four on a cold Friday night and it was about 80 minutes. Similar to the Danbos in Vancouver, you can customize your ramen from the noodle type to noodle wellness and broth depth. This is a little overwhelming if it's your first time, I'd recommend getting the standard selections and then customizing on subsequent visits. I personally prefer the thick noodles and like to add an egg to my ramens. Great spot for tonkotsu ramen with rich and creamy broth whether you're solo to sit at the bar or with a group of friends. ”
“ I feel like it's getting better and better every time I come here. However I went on a weekend during lunch and they don't have the lunch set during this time. The spicy ones are spicier than it used to be before and the quality control is amazing because the ramen tastes just as good as it was before and service remained the same. I feel like I didn't notice the garlic paste on the side but I finally realized about it and it's ABSOLUTELY amazing. I love their reward program for the stamps on my Apple wallet and it makes me feel like coming here more for ramen since after 10 ramen bowls you get one for free! I know they said after 5 you can get free gyoza but the ramen is definitely why I come here. Now they have a waitlist outside and it helps me save some time before eating. It's getting more and more popular as days come by. The bar seating is great but they're also helpful to move you to a table if needed. There's a space inside the chairs to put your coats which is super neat! Really feels Japanese owned and the quality and service control is so great for an establishment that's been a staple in the neighborhood. The ramen went from $12 to $16 in a couple years but I cannot complain as the ramen is even better than it used to be. Thank you Ramen Danbo for continuing your legacy! ”
“ Be prepared for a ton of sesame seeds in the Negi-Goma ramen! Loved the broth but I could've done with less seeds. The chashu pork here is amazing!! It's got a wonderful flavor and would recommend adding extra to your ramen bowl. You're able to customize a lot (noodle size, spice level, etc) but I opted for standard everything to see how the base ramen is. Service is good and food comes out decently quick. Went in a super cold day so there was a decent wait. But you can put your name on the waitlist and walk around the neighborhood to sit at a local coffee shop to pass the time. Overall, would go again or try the location in Manhattan. ”
“ I've been to Ramen Danbo a few times now. Usually, there's a short wait, maybe 10 minutes. However, this past Sunday, I got seated right away. The only downside? I was by the door, so every time it opened, I got hit with a blast of cold air. I usually get the classic ramen, but I've noticed it gets way too salty after a few bites, which isn't my favorite. This time, I decided to try the miso ramen, and wow!!! It was so much better! It had great flavor without being overly salty. I added soft-boiled eggs and kikurage (extra charge for toppings). Drinking that hot broth on a freezing winter day just hits the spot. One thing that surprised me was that they don't have shichimi togarashi (Japanese chili pepper mix). I always add it to my ramen, and it's pretty standard at most places, so that was a bit disappointing. The restaurant is small, and it gets busy fast, but it's definitely worth checking out. ”
“ I stayed in Park Slope for the weekend. I was exploring the area after not being back for 20 years. I was craving ramen and Ramen Danbo popped up and went here for lunch. It's a cute place and New York has better ramen places so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the classic ramen with the pork broth. Spicy on the back side which is good! Ambiance is nice and service is quick but they were busy. ”
“ I love the vibe of this ramen danbo as well as the fact that you can get almost the entire menu in a vegan version. The spicy curry ramen was delicious. I didn't add any extra toppings but if I were to go back I'd add tofu and spinach. The stamp card is also very cool and high tech (you store it on an Apple wallet pas they scan). I'll definitely be back! ”
“ This is probably my favorite ramen in the city at this point. I love spicy pork-based broth, and theirs really hits. They allow you to specify amount of lard and heat, so you can really tune it to your tastes. The noodles and meat are perfectly cooked (though I always have to add extra char siu), and it's just the right amount of food. The place gets super crowded and they don't even do delivery during dinner these days (though you can still get takeout). I've eaten there a couple times and service was very fast and pleasant, with an efficient waiting list system. Sleek and efficient indoors, a little noisy, but no more than you'd expect for a good crowded ramen bar. Highly recommend! ”
